What a great joy it was to hear from Africa Inland Mission last week that our support level has been reached and we have been cleared to return to Kenya on December 30. Just a few days after we return to Rift Valley Academy, 22 ninth grade boys will move back into our dorm after their Christmas break. Pray for us as we make the return physically, and especially emotionally and spiritually. We want to be able to lead them in a vibrant and exciting walk with Jesus Christ.
Jennifer will return to her duties as the elementary librarian, and I will jump back into teaching ninth grade Bible and heading the 7-12 grade Bible department. Pray that we will continually have fresh vision and ideas in our leadership, and that we will communicate God’s Word accurately, with enthusiasm and with excitement. Pray for our own sons as they make the transition from their schools in the US, back to their classes and friends at RVA.
Our biggest and perhaps toughest hurdle for which we request your prayers is that we are leaving our first son at John Brown University and moving to the other side of the world. I know that God can and will do a better job taking care of Braden than I ever could, but this is a giant step of faith for us.
Thank you for your continued prayers! May you begin a new year drawing closer to Jesus and find comfort and challenge from His Word.
With Jesus’ love,
